Thailand’s marine tourism sector is gaining momentum, and a recent partnership is set to push it even further. The Thailand International Boat Show: “A Luxury Lifestyle Event” has secured a strategic investment from Phuket Yacht Haven Marina.
This move signals a focused effort to grow the event’s scale while strengthening Phuket’s standing as a key yachting destination in the Asia-Pacific.
Strategic Investment Signals Long-Term Growth
Organized by JAND Events, the Thailand International Boat Show is positioning itself for wider international attention. With Phuket Yacht Haven Marina now backing the event, plans are in place to establish the marina as the show’s future venue.
Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, known as the island’s largest marina, offers more than 330 berths and can host superyachts up to 100 meters. This capacity is expected to support a noticeable increase in both the number and size of vessels showcased at future editions.

At the same time, upgrades are already underway. These include improved visitor areas, expanded dining options, and enhanced lifestyle facilities. The goal is to create a setting that feels engaging without overwhelming visitors.
David Hayes, CEO of JAND Events, explained the importance of this move. “This is a strategic investment in the future of the show and the industry,” he said. He also noted recent policy progress. “We’re seeing strong positive momentum in Thailand, including recent progress around the superyacht licence, which signals the country’s growing commitment to marine tourism.”
Enhancing Experience and Industry Standards
For Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, the partnership goes beyond infrastructure. There is a clear emphasis on service quality and visitor experience. Juraibon Phataraprasit highlighted this direction, stating, “This partnership is about raising the standard of what a marina and boat show experience can be in Thailand.”
Development efforts are focused on improving onshore facilities, ensuring yacht owners, guests, and visitors benefit from a more refined environment. The collaboration also reflects a broader aim to position Thailand as a competitive player on the global yachting stage.
This partnership sets a clear direction for the future of the Thailand International Boat Show. With improved facilities and increased capacity, the event is ready to grow. As a result, it is likely to gain stronger international attention while supporting Thailand’s marine tourism industry.
